Presently, Professor Adu teaches at All Saints University College of Medicine(Aug 2015 –Present). He has a Master’s and Ph.D. degrees focused in Virology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Ibadan. He was the president of Grass Root Immunization Nigeria(NGO)(Mar 2010 – Present). He manages and directs the activities of the NGO whose main function is to complement the effort of the various tiers of Government to improve Routine Immunization against children's vaccine-preventable killer diseases in children. The NGO also conducts wellness programs among adults. He was also a Consultant Virologist at University College Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria( 1996 – 2011). In addition, he was also a Professor/Consultant at Virology University of Ibadan/University College Hospital Ibadan (Aug 1989 – Sep 2009). Prof Adu was the Director of the WHO National Polio Laboratory Ibadan Nigeria from 1996-2009.
