Nigeria Connects is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) based in Dallas, Georgia, USA. Hence, we operate in the US and in Nigeria through various programs/Initiatives. Some of our programs include:

1.   HOPE (Help Our Prison Education) programs: This is a literacy program through which we help facilitate learning in prisons by building/equipping existing libraries in correctional facilities in Nigeria. Through this project, we have been able to set up libraries in 11 correctional facilities in Nigeria, and they include Abeokuta Correctional facility, Ogun state (the picture to your right shows the library that we set up for the inmates in partnership with the SHOKESTA initiative last year), Agodi Correctional facility in Ibadan. Kuje Correctional, Abuja, Ogbomosho correctional facility, Kaduna Open Prison, Ilesha Correctional facility, Kirikiri Female Correctional facility, Kirikiri Maximum, Akure Correctional, and Owo correctional, to mention just a few.

2.   Nigeria Reads: This is another literacy program that we run. The goal of the program is to facilitate literacy in our public/private schools (primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions)

NIGERIA CONNECTS, changing lives and impacting destinies

3. Revive Our Public Education (ROPE):  Most of our public schools in Nigeria ( primary, secondary, and higher institutions are in a deplorable state. Hence, the need for us to send a ROPE of survival to most of them. The community, the government, and the alumni of such institutions have a role to play in bringing these schools back on their feet. We cannot leave the task to the government; we are the government. These schools are in our communities, and a lot of us are products of these various institutions that are in deplorable states. Hence, through this initiative, we will be bringing some of the schools into the limelight with the ROPE of hope, so we can make them better, and create a better environment for our kids to learn, the better the environment, the better the learning, and the more motivated the students. Our children in Nigeria deserve the best; therefore, we should give them the best in terms of education. We have a lot of dilapidated buildings to bring back to life through ROPE. And we will be counting on your support. For more information about our organization, please visit our website at Nigeriaconnects.org
